Selenite Carvings Nine-tails Fox/ Hello Kitty

At only 2 on Mohs' scale of hardness, selenite is a very soft material that can be scratched by a fingernail. As a result, the surface of a selenite crystal looks often scratched and bruised with white-ish percussion marks.  There will be imperfections to selenite carvings. 
Keep Selenite dry, as it can disintegrate in water. I would also be careful about placing it in humid environments, like a bathroom, with a shower or outdoors (even covered) when it's cold and/or rainy, which could cause condensation.
Selenite is popularly used for clearing other crystals of old energies and charging (re-energizing) other crystals. 
Selenite is a transparent variety of gypsum.  It occurs in well-formed transparent or semi-opaque white, milky, yellow-white, gray, beige, or orange elongated crystals. Sometimes it has tiny impurities of brown clay or sand, which is also a good sign for you that selenite is real.
